Snacking on: spiced almonds.
Oh boy! So much stuff happened since the last update even though it was just two weeks ago.
First of all, I finally got visited by that friend I mentioned was coming in another entry!! Aside from
a couple of bumps in the road, like their flight getting cancelled last minute, our little time together went amazing!!
I brought them to see the main landmarks and museums in the city, and also took a trip with them to my hometown and
had them meet my parents! We drew together and watched some shows I've been hyperfixated on lately.
Seriously, it was lovely. I felt really comfortable around them and had a lot of fun.
I could go on about this for A LOT, but since this blog is public I want to hold back a bit for my friend's sake.
They strike me as quite the private person so I wouldn't want to make them uncomfortable by going too much into detail on my silly blog.
BUT IT WAS SO NICE AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!! Okay that's enough. I'm normal.
After that, I had my first week of class of this school year! It was pretty uneventful, and went
overall well. This weeky has been mostly getting back into the uni routine: attending class, getting groceries,
cleaning the house, having dinner with my cousin so on and so forth.
On friday morning I went to a friend's house to study with her. We studied together several times this summer
and found it useful, so we decided to make it a regular event throughout the school year. I find studying
with her productive, and overall very pleasant. We usually meet in the morning, study, chat, and then have lunch togheter.
Her roommate, which is a close friend of ours, has been considering joining us the next times, so we'll see how that goes.
This weekend was also pretty eventful. Yesterday, on saturday, I went to therapy, ran some errands, had lunch with my parents and visited both my grandparents! When I got home I was so overstimulated that I felt like my brain was cooked into mush, and I spent the evening watching ASMR in bed with dim lighting. I've been consuming ASMR somewhat frequently. I found it really helps with regulating my sensory issues.
And then today, on sunday, I went with a friend (the same I study with) and her mom to a local festival. Unfortunately it was a bit of a bummer. The festival was supposed to be all about a local traditional food: polenta. But even though we got there quite early, they had already sold all the food. The event organizer clearly had not done a good enough job, as there were long queues to acess any of the basic services in the festival area. But we did manage to get a sandwich at a food truck and some roasted chestnuts from a street vendor, at least. We were going to take part into a group hike as well, but as we were heading there me and my friend realized we weren't really in the mood to do it, and hearing the excursion was a couple hours long was the final nail in the coffin. So I went back home with her, and we watched Star Trek togheter!! She wasn't that entusiastic about it, but still liked it more than I had anticipated. It was an overall pleasant day, even though the festival itself was a bit of a fiasco.
