Exams
05/02/25, morning
It’s been a while since the last entry! Exam session at my uni is in full swing, so I’ve been really busy studying and haven't had the time to work on this blog.
Let's start with the good news: i passed my Calculus I exam!! Getting back the results was a real relief: that exam is infamous at my uni for being one of the hardest, having just a 30% pass rate. So I'm really glad I managed to pass it on my first try. Now I'm studying for my chemistry exam, which will be in around a week. The exam itself isn't really hard, but chemistry has always been one of my weak points. So I'm a bit worried, but I can always retake the exam at a later date if I fail it.
Since we don't have classes during the exam session, in the past few weeks I've been staying at my parents house. Because of that I had the chance to hang out with some friends from middle school. I had not seen one of them since back then, more than 6 years ago! It was nice. We took a walk in town and ate a snack at a street vendor. My hometown is small and doesn't typically have street vendors, but now that carnival is approaching, some travelling food trucks have stopped by. I had apple fritters and vin brulé. They tasted delcious!
Last but not least, I've done some more DIY in between studying sessions! It really helps me unplug and relax.
The project I've been working on (and recently finished!) is what I dubbed "the indieweb hat". It's a cap
I thrifted for a couple of bucks, on which I stitched some hand-painted patches and attached some pins I made from bottlecaps.
I'm really proud of how it turned out, and I plan to showcase it in detail in a new section of the website for DIYs. Maybe
including step-by-step instructions, tips, and general advice.
