There is a reason this game became so big on release. It's charming, fun and well-executed. And the update that added local multiplayer did a lod to improve the replayability of the game. The only negative note I can make is that the price is a bit high for the game runtime, unless you manage to get it on sale.

A Short Hike (2020)

This is such a well-crafted little cozy exploration game. The graphics are beautiful and I love the low-res look. The sound design is probably one of the best features of the game and it makes the experience really immersive.
Highly recommend. The only negative thing I can say about the game is that it's pretty short. I mean.. it's literally in the title.

The World Next Door (2019)

I got this game because an artist I kept up with at the time worked on the sprites. I think the artstyle and graphics are probably the best part of the game, but they still result unpolished and rough around the edges. The gameplay is just plain bad in my opinion. It's a weird reinterpretation of "match 3" type games and it doesn't really work that well. It gets repetitive quickly, and it would feel more at home on mobile than in a PC or console game. And the visual novel portion of the game don't save it either: the story is not that interesting and the dialogues feel unnatural, almost forced.
I couldn't make it through the whole game despite it being barely 4 hours long.

Really good puzzle game!!! It takes a bit of time to get familiar with the mechanics as it is pretty different than your average puzzle game, but it's really fun once you get into it. And the difficulty level is perfect in my opinion.

The Swindle (2015)

I have mixed feelings about this game. I was excited to play it because I really dig the graphics, setting and premise. However, the controls are really sloppy and the gameplay simply falls short off its promises. And the game itself is pretty hard! If it was easier I might forgive the bad controls and sometimes awkward level generation, but when you pair it with the difficulty level being higher than average the game simply results frustrating. You have runs that end early for reasons that feel totally out of your control, which is really bad in a rouguelike where a game-over basically means starting from scratch. It feels pointless to put any effort into a run when it could be ruined any time by the controls not cooperating.

This game is cozy alright! It's relaxing, looks pretty, and perfect to unwind.
Unfortunately most of the quests are basically fetch quests, so the game often ends up playing like a walking simulator.

Battle Chef Brigade (2017)

Great game with a pretty unique gameplay loop. The game mixes brawler elements with puzzle portions in a very unique way, and I really love the artstyle.
It doesn't have that much replayability in my opinion, but it's okay for the 20€ pricepoint.
